Centerpiece is a project sponsored by FONCA Mexico.
It is about making craftwork according to new particular histories from women, instead of honoring old imposed traditions, e.g. Christmas.
I took the concept of centerpiece as a decorative element that charges with a traditional symbolic order. I use a domestic mechanism in order to rethink new symbolism.

This project takes different formats: objects and performances.
I made the objects using daily things like bowls, fake fruit, toys or crochet.
The performance is an invitation to other users to create their own centerpieces with painting and collage, creating an event like a free class.
